10th International Day of Yoga celebrations in Vladivostok on 22nd June, 2024

The Consulate General of India in Vladivostok is celebrating the 10th International Yoga Day celebrations on the theme "Yoga for Self and Society" which aims to strengthen efforts towards holistic well being and sustainable living through Yoga and by spreading awareness about Yoga. 

In the words of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi “Yoga, an ancient cultural gift, promotes holistic health and wellness by enhancing physical and mental strength” and under whose novel initiative at United Nations General Assembly, the world has been celebrating Yoga Every Year since the last 9 years. It has helped spread the benefits of yoga which is widely acknowledged across the world.

The Consulate held #50DaysToIDY2024 countdown activities  as curtain raiser which began on May 2nd, 2024 for building momentum for International Day of Yoga and to reach wider audience and inspire individuals to incorporate Yoga into their daily lives for their overall well being. We organized more than 75 events in collaboration with our partners that include yoga studios and centers and Yoga Teachers to promote and popularize Yoga. We are also holding a Yoga Photography and Video competition with prizes in both Individual and Group categories. The Consulate is also supporting International Day of Yoga celebrations in the regions of Far Eastern Federal District and Irkutsk Region.

In the spirit of promoting holistic health and wellness through the practice of yoga, The 10th International Yoga Day event will be held in the Sports Complex "Champion" at the address: Partizansky Prospekt, 44, k.5, on June 22, 2024 at 10:00 AM. 

The event would include demonstrations of asanas, pranayama, kapalabhati and breathing exercises adhering to Common Yoga Protocol along with hasya yoga, guided meditation and making the participants aware of anatomy of movement among others.
