Restoration of Tourist/e-Tourist visa for Foreign Tourists

In view of the improved COVID-19 situation in India, the Government of India has taken the decision to restore Tourist/e-Tourist visa for Foreign Nationals, subject to quarantine and all other health/COVID-19 related extant guidelines.

2. Accordingly, the following may be used with regard to Russian Nationals:

(i) e-Tourist Visa under the three options (one month, one year and five years) issued prior to March 2020 have been restored, with immediate effect. Russian nationals will also be eligible for issuance of fresh e-Tourist Visas.

(ii) Valid Paper Tourist Visas issued to Russian nationals before March 2020, and which remained suspended since March 2020, shall stand restored. Russian nationals will also be issued fresh Tourist Visas by the Embassy of India, Moscow.

(iii) Russian nationals on Tourist/e-Tourist visas would be permitted to enter India only through designated Sea Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) or Airport ICPs. No Foreign National will be permitted to enter through land or riverine routes on Tourist/e-Tourist Visa.
