The 10th International Day of Yoga - Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Sakhalin Oblast

The 10th International Day of Yoga was held in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. More than 300 participants took part in the city's Gagarin Park of Culture and Recreation. Stanislav Tyurin, Deputy Minister of Sport of the Sakhalin Oblast, welcomed the festival guests at the opening ceremony. 

The programme included introductory yoga practices and meditation sessions, healing practice, breathing practice, and the use of sadhu board. Indian cuisine in line with Ayurvedic practice was presented at the festival. Sakhalin craftsmen presented handmade jewellery at the stalls. 

During the event participants took part in Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ tree planting campaign along several footpaths near Lake Verkhnee and supported #Plant4Earth initiative
